Outcome 5
Contributing Knowledge
Contributing knowledge refers to the student's ability to develop insights on evidence they found and create writing based on them.

Artifacts
Project 2: Final
For this assignment, the students had to gather all the knowledge they acquired from the reviews made to our papers and adequately adapt it to the composition of their rhetorical analysis essay's final version. The project overall required us to be capable of using our own thinking and identification skills to write a source rhetorical analysis. The outcome "Contributing Knowledge" relates to this artifact as we could formulate thoughts and transform them into a proper analysis of the diverse evidence we found regarding the rhetorical strategies of the sources.

"Ecstasy of Influence" QQC
For this short assignment, the students had to read the essay "The Ecstasy of Influence" to make a brief analysis that will guide them in answering the questions posted on the discussion board. Firstly, we had to formulate a question regarding the paper for us to interact and discuss a possible answer. Furthermore, we had to provide insight on a quote or idea from the text, which would allow us to improve our "contributing knowledge" skills for larger assignments such as the rhetorical analysis paper. Based on the assignment's requirements, and the benefits that it provides to the students, it fits the criterion for this outcome.

Reflection
These assignments fit the criterion since a considerable part of them consists of analyzing evidence from a source and writing insights regarding the aspects that characterize it. In my rhetorical analysis project, I selected a primary source, analyzed its rhetorical elements, and drew conclusions based on what I found important. Considering the factors it includes that contributed to my learning, this is the most important assignment that fits the outcome's criterion due to the analysis that must be made on the sources' materials to complete it successfully. Moreover, both artifacts were impactful for me because they allowed me to understand the importance of source analysis and its components to draw questions and develop insights to connect one's knowledge to a source's content. To sum up, the completion of these assignments was an effective learning experience on how to analyze and interpret primary, secondary, and tertiary sources.
The writing process for both artifacts was different in terms of format and style of writing. On the one hand, "Project 2: Final" required an extensive piece of writing with a specific format, intertwining information from the sources selected and my background knowledge. On the other hand, "Ecstasy of Influence" QQC" demanded short responses with a considerable amount of personal insight about the text provided. All in all, both artifacts allowed me to improve my skills in different styles of writing and properly identify the format that I was required to write in.
