Outcome 6

Revision

A student's "Revision" is their ability to identify the feedback they received on their paper and utilize it to further enhance its overall composition.

Artifacts

Projects 1 & 2 Peer Review

These assignments were a pivotal part of the most important assignments in this course as they allowed the students to receive feedback from each other and potentially enhance their work. We were divided into groups to determine which of our classmates would peer-review our paper. Each one of us had to post our drafts to a discussion board where our peer partners could download them and provide feedback. The purpose of the assignment is for us to potentially develop our initial paper into its most perfect version. Therefore, these artifacts coherently relate to the outcome's criterion.

Projects 1 & 2 Draft 2

This version of both projects' drafts encourages the students to transfer the feedback we received from our peer partner/s into the paper. A positive aspect of this is that we could interpret the information we received about our essay and insightfully apply it in a way we considered would benefit its overall composition. If we consider the aspects that define this outcome, these artifacts can relate to the criterion as they consist of a way for the students to improve what they wrote through revision and peer-review application.

Reflection

These projects meet the outcome's criterion since they let students edit each other's drafts and incorporate the feedback received to enhance the paper. The peer review assignments, on the one hand, allowed my peer partners to see what I did well, apply that knowledge to their work, and make recommendations on what could I modify. On the other hand, when I received comments on my papers, I could improve upon my previous work and acquire information for future projects. Based on this, these assignments were the most significant that met the outcome's criteria since they encouraged editing and adding valuable information to the papers that I submitted for a significant grade. Furthermore, they are the most impactful for me because they helped me improve my final essays by reviewing them and applying the feedback received. Finally, these assignments were necessary to check for mistakes I might have committed and improve my revision skills, which can be useful for future assignments.

Reflection on the writing processes as part of the revision required consists of checking if the writing style, structure, and overall process meet the requirements of the final paper. My essays being peer reviewed provided me with recommendations regarding the writing process of my paper and I applied the feedback to it, leading me to be successful in the assignment.
